This is a very typical accommodation in the old center of Amsterdam, including the steep and narrow steps! It is lovely but not if you have small kids, or huge suitcases and not suitable for the elderly or a handicapped person. Since the shower is more or less in the middle of the bedroom, you have to give up some privacy.
All this makes it the more exciting for those who do qualify!

The place is divided into two levels. The first level has a complete kitchen with all the necessary tools to prepare meals. On this wooden floor is also the livingroom with a view to the small street.
The second floor you reach via a steep stair. Here you get to the bedroom with an open bathroom and a small sitting area. From here you have a very nice view over an old wooden church and the Amstelveld Plein (Amstelveld Square). In this apartment you go back to the old times. Also the small street with its typical Amsterdam street life is pleasing to the eye.

The area is charming. At the end of the street is the Amstel river and the Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge), a totally wooden drawbridge. You are in the middle of the old part of the city. Both left and right parallel to this street, is a canal and next door, the Amstelveld Square, with the Flower Market on mondays. In the surrounding you will find small cafés, bars, restaurant and trendy shops.
