Apartment

The City Park Apartment is elegant, stylish, unfussy and yet it's a very cosy home. The neutral colour palette of greys and browns with hints of creamy beige warms the place up. The result is a contemporary home with a modern edge. The open plan living/dining area has a serene atmosphere with a lot of natural light coming in through the large windows.

A partition separates the living/dining room from the sleeping area, which is fitted out with a double bed. The living/dining area also features a large comfortable sofa which can transform into a bed, allowing the apartment to house up to four persons. There is a handsome dining table for four next to the kitchen – fully equipped with everything you might need to prepare your meals plus a very convenient dishwasher. The bathroom is white tile fresh with a fantastic shower head. And for your entertainment there is Flat Screen TV.

The City Park Apartment II is on the third floor with elevator. A dapper!

This apartment is located in a Solid building. A Solid is a beautiful sustainable building that gives space to what people want. Tenants are completely free in the use of the space. Housing, business, or a combination. This creates a solid mix of a free variable functions. A Solid is a 'city in a building'.

Important information:

Construction work takes place on the main road and pavement alongside the apartment building until the end of April 2012. This may cause inconvenience and the building is not directly reachable by car.

This apartment features COCO-MAT beds. Established in 1989, COCO-MAT today is a recognised leader for natural sleep products, bed linen, towels and furniture for homes and hotels.

Fair-trade Max Havelaar Cotton

The bath linen we use is made of Fair-trade cotton. Fair-trade cotton is cotton that is produced durable without any insecticides in developing countries. By paying an honest price to local farmers the environment of those who are directly involved is improved step by step.

Area

The City Park Apartment is next to the Vondelpark, Amsterdam's most popular park. A favourite of bohemians and nature lovers, this park spreads out over 47 hectares and is distinguished by its classic 19th century English-style landscaping and the many elegant late 19th century mansions which surround it.

Throughout the months of June, July and August, Vondelpark offers free open air theatre presenting around 125 performances of classical music, jazz, dance, cabaret, ethnic, etc. The Centrum de Roos, a beautiful rose garden with over 70 species is also worth visiting. Both the Filmuseum's Vertigo café and the Blauwe Theehuis have terraces where you can sit and chill out, sip a drink while people watching under the sun.

Nevertheless, the City Park Apartments are at the city centre! Just five minutes away is Leidseplein Square vibrating with bars, restaurants, clubs and theatres such as the Stadsschouwburg municipal theatre, the Leidseplein Theatre, Paradiso and Melkweg Theatres, the Nieuwe De La Mar Theater, the Holland Casino, the American Hotel and the City Theatre cinema. From here you're already in the Canal Belt and you could walk the whole city centre if you so desire or, easily, find a mean of transportation. Beware: before crossing the streets watch out for bicycles, but specially for the TRAMS!
